Over the past few years, the digital ecosystem has undergone a profound transformation.

Organic audiences—the essential foundation of the publishing business and a cornerstone of monetization strategies—began to decline due to changes in technology and content consumption behavior.
 

The search for new, sustainable models encouraged a reinvention of:

  • How content is produced,

  • How it is distributed,

  • How it captures value, and

  • How it fosters user loyalty within a saturated and highly competitive environment.


This shift made it possible to reach previously inaccessible audiences, as well as opening up opportunities in subscriptions, loyalty, advertising, targeted commerce, and hybrid models combining editorial and commercial content.
 

However, this transformation brought new and critical challenges:
 

  • Pain 1 — User attention is volatile

Entry paths have changed (SEO, AMP, Discover, social media), fragmenting how users arrive at and consume content.

  • Pain 2 — Content doesn't necessarily convert

Traffic alone doesn't generate value. Users read, but don't always continue to other pages or make purchases.

  •  Pain 3 — Lack of consistency between content, product, and sales opportunities

Editorial pieces weren't strategically integrated with sales experiences or product recommendations.

  •  Pain 4 — New targeted content strategies are needed

The market demands that editorial content also:

 

  1. Guide decisions

  2. Facilitate product discovery

  3. Generate ongoing engagement

  4. Enable sustainable monetization
     

The Goal
 

  • Designing integrated sales and engagement trough  a system of components, CTAs, strategic ADS and sales components and links to increase revenue, user retention, and content consumption.

  • Relink and reuse content information

  • Culturizes user as an informed consumer

BRAND AND CROSS DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS

Tech Tudo´s page requieres specific brand considerations at same as component system need to stablish scalable and standar specifications to be implemented as a cross project. This both diferent requierments were designing provinding parameters that could change to any brand, at same that allows to be an specific component.

CURRENT STATUS AND CHALLENGES

Project Challenges
 

The project challenges included several technical aspects such as the integration of product search APIs (Cellphone Comparison), layout adaptation based on database structure, understanding and negotiating offers with stakeholders, and analyzing three different content flows to create simple yet contextually linked components aligned with reading and functional experiences.

The main challenges were:

  • Kanban board coordination across different stages of component and landing page development (in progress, production, QA, design adjustments, etc.)

  • Negotiation understanding with key stakeholders (Amazon, Americanas, Casas Bahia, Mercado Libre)

  • Unorganized design systems that required redefinition

  • Outdated components needing redesign and optimization

  • Creation of new objectives and project roadmap aligned with the updated user profile

  • Detailed QA review for functional and visual consistency

Main objective
 

The primary goal of this project was to address new user content consumption challenges and provide a better experience in information access, decision-making, and tech product purchasing — while reducing dependence on text-based content to build Tech Tudo’s authority as a trusted information source.
